Girl in purple pageant dress on stage
Proof that you don't need a heavy "glitz" costume to win. At MNATC, we love seeing simple elegance and natural confidence on stage!

If you’ve ever watched 'Toddlers & Tiaras,' you probably think the natural pageant cost is huge. You probably think you need a custom-made, rhinestone-crusted dress to step on a pageant stage. I’m here to tell you: Put your wallet away.

One of the biggest myths in the industry is that the most expensive dress wins. At the Miss National American Teen & Collegiate (MNATC) and our Stay Gorgeous Girls events, we judge the girl, not the garment.

Here is the secret judges wish you knew: We are looking for confidence, not a costume. A girl who feels comfortable in an off-the-rack Sunday Best dress will always score higher than a girl tugging at an itchy, expensive gown she hates.

3 Places to Find a Winning "Natural" Dress on a Budget:

  1. Easter/Holiday Sales: Department stores often have sales on "Sunday Best" dresses that are perfect for our stage.

  2. Consignment Shops: You can find gently used designer dresses for a fraction of the price.

  3. Your Own Closet: Seriously! If she feels beautiful in it, it’s a contender.

Ready to try it out? You don’t need to spend thousands to be a queen. Join us for a fun, low-stress experience.
